A five-LP set released in 1978, it contains all the material recorded by Charlie Parker for the Savoy label between 1944 and 1948, including sessions for guitar/vocalist Tiny Grimes and Miles Davis where Bird was a sideman. Parker is on tenor sax on the Davis session, a treat since Bird's earlier work on tenor with the Jay McShann big band wasn't documented because of the ACM recording ban. "Complete" includes not only the released master tracks but alternate takes, incomplete takes and false starts.
