Biography
When Matt Brown at 15 years-old listened to Ferrer & Sydenham's Sandcastles something changed inside him.
A new music, a new feeling, he began to enlarge his horizons in this music scene discovering other genres like techouse, minimal, experimental, electro, and taking inspiration from this variety. After that he found new atmospheres and emotions with Cadenza Records and Border Community releases, bringing Matt's style to an evolution. His debut was in Feburary 2009: he released with his friend Alex Moments on Below Records: “Yakamoz Ep”. Feedbacks came from all the main djs and the next step was on Einmaleins Musik, the well known German label where he released his first own Ep: "Albanostra", followed by a release on Mainakustik. The strong collaboration with his friend Alex Moments brought him to Suchtreflex Records with “Kikidee Ep” and then on Supernature with “Odette Ep”. In 2011 he released on Drumma with Felipe Venegas (Cadenza Records). He also remixed tracks for Einmaleins, Piekup, Monique Musique, Local Music, District Raw, Spur and Microtech…
After a long pause Matt created a new alias Brownn to make experimental electronic music following Border Community inspirations. He released in 2020 as Brownn a single named "Blackbrain" and "Frames 1 Ep" with his friend Mömi. In 2021 he released BORDERLiNE Ep, his first solo Ep.
