    In no particular order...
Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume II) by XTC
This is a great album. Different from a lot of other XTC stuff, but every song is catchy and fun to sing along to. The lyrics are interesting, and I think that this is a good album for summer! It's been one of my favourites for a very long time.
Room for Squares by John Mayer
My favourite album by him. The guitar is absolutely beautiful and I love how it seems like it's arranged pretty simply, but the more you listen, the more you notice the little things he's thrown in to make it interesting.
    Harbor Lights by Bruce Hornsby
Mmm...I love the piano on this!!! He's a great musician and this album reminds me of the beach and good times. All of the songs are upbeat, even 'Talk of the town', which is about an interracial relationship and how crappy it is when people won't accept them. Hard to make a song about that fun to listen to, but he did it!
    Hits by Joni Mitchell

    Oh. My. God.
I am madly in love with Brother Love! (ha)
Right now, please go to iTunes and download his CD, Album Of The Year. It's awesome! I can't stop listening to it. Literally every song is great. I'm really surprised that he barely has any scrobblers!

Thank you, Keith and The Girl! Without you, I would never have discovered this fabbity-fab-fab album.

  • VNV Nation and Brother Love

    My two new musical loves.

VNV Nation isn't new to me. I've been around VNV as long as I've been on IRC. Which may be far too long for my own sanity.

Beloved makes me pretty spaced out.
Chrome is my new "stripper" song. Perfect beat for dancing. How I long for someone to take me out, dance with me until my feet are aching, seduce me in a corner and then take me home and finish it all off.

Brother Love is a bit more upbeat. I highly reccommend Push. First heard it on Swingercast ( when Allie was reviewing the mp3 accoessory: ohmibod. Which I also desire.

I'm waiting for my CD to get here it was shipped from on Friday afternoon, which means it should be here by next Friday. But I'm hoping it gets here sooner.
