“The Promise” is a single written by former American singer Brianna Rieffel, released in 2006. Rieffel , Louisiana native, wrote the song after seeing the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and feeling hurt and disappointed by the lack of help and assistance the state received afterwards. She dedicated the song to victims of the hurricane after the single’s release.
