  • For those who jumped on the RHCP bandwagon after Stadium Arcadium..

    18 May 2007, 15:23 by maplejet

Well...I actually became an major RHCP fan after S.A., and proceeded to nail 3 other albums (BSSM, BTW, and Californication). However, many of you may not know about what they really did...BEFORE Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

So, I'm going to share them with you right now:

First off, True Men Don't Kill Coyotes
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3Jwvk6MGV8

    An early song by RHCP

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdSRviwq6Qo

Half-naked peppers...the main lineup I presume. You all girlies though Brandon Boyd of Incubus was the only guy who could take of his shirt, eh?

How bout more fun RHCP action:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doDBApOv2oM

FIGHT LIKE A BRAVE! Forget Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit...and maybe Rage Against the Machine. TRUE RAPCORE RIGHT HERE FOLKS!

And how bout...CATHOLIC SCHOOL GIRLS RULE

Actually, I won't post it here...has some...interesting elements. Go find it yourself and lol!

    How bout this (still disturbing)

  • this new incubus cd is pretty awesome

    28 Nov 2006, 14:36 by Opacity0fLight

i got it via presale and it was worth spending the extra few bucks to skip the wait

woke up this morning with the song "Oil & Water" in my head

this cd is far from their older stuff (even Make Yourself/Morning View) but some of their songs pick up right where A Crow Left of the Murder left off while most/all definitely have something different - just slightly different - style too them. seems like its less guitary and more Brandon Boyd. i feel theres a couple of songs where he really shows off his range well. its a good cd. listened to it a couple of times through last night until bed and will listen to it much of this week. while i will say it is not (not yet at least) my favorite Incubus album - i've always been a fan of old-school music of long-lasting bands (ie: KoRn), but unlike Korn, Incubus keeps spitting out GOOD music. KoRn slowly went down the drain after FtL/Issues and their new music just doesnt give me that feeling anymore. Incubus, while S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

#99 was a small, sickly monkey abducted from his home in the wild so that he could be experimented on in a cold, dark laboratory in Vienna, Virginia. He never even had a name, only an I.D. number that was tattooed across his chest. Day after day, #99 had large tubes shoved up his nose, down his throat, and into his stomach, where an experimental substance was then pumped. This procedure caused open wounds in #99’s throat, making him choke, gag, and vomit.

Monkeys used and abused in cruel experiments like these need your help. Click here to learn how you can help. Also, be sure to forward this alert to your friends and ask them to help save monkeys like #99.

To launch peta2’s "Save #99" campaign, the members of Alkaline Trio, Against Me!, and Silverstein all signed a petition calling on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to stop painful, and often pointless, experiments on nonhuman primates like #99. Click here to add your name to the petition, and then share it with everyone you know who is a fan of the bands.

I guess you hit shuffle on your playlist and the songs answer the questions? (I'll put ALL my mp3s on my playlist):

1 Why did you decide to take this quiz?
    Track: Paint it Black
    Artist: Gob
Comments: Because I was feeling dark and depressed and bored?

2 Where will you meet your husband/wife?
    Track: Bois de Merveilles
    Artist: Malice Mizer
    Comments: In France, I guess.

3 Where will you "hug" your wife/husband for the first time?
    Track: Mechanical Dance
    Artist: Luna Sea
Comments: Well...a translation states some lyrics to be "In this modern garden of Eden embracing sins/Everyone is oppressing themselves from going mad between the cold walls" so like, I'm going to "hug" them in some sort of mental asylum? Knowing my luck, they will be a patient. Or both of us will.

4 What is your secret dream?
    Track: Dogfight
    Artist: Move
Comments: Another Japanese one. Translation? "Your enchanting dream is here, a backfire that rips through the shimmering heat/Throw away the past…
