Bouts-Rimés is an electronic project of the Moscow-based composer / pianist Maxim Kondratov, who also works in the genre of minimalism / neoclassicism. Max’s music draws on multiple varying influences, ranging from Gesualdo to Ives and Pärt, and from Terry Riley to Björk and Yorke. Outside of music, he has a master's degree in cultural studies and does his own poetry performances.
The project's debut took place in 2015 with the release of the Album 1 (Sense/Net Label). "The album is an intriguing set of techno tracks, with playful bleepy melodies atop lullaby-like chords. At points it ventures towards the minimal, micro-house end of things, at others it dips its toes in deeper, ambient waters" (Aidan Hanratty / The Thin Air).
