1. San Francisco rap group
2. Toronto hardcore/punk
1. San Francisco rap group Bored Stiff was formed in 1992… Known for their classic underground/rawness and originality, the group recorded countless songs through the 90's. They released two ep's "Explainin'," and "Timeless,"(now high priced collectors items) on Hella Records, and an album entitled "Ghetto Research"(look out for bootleg vinyl). Rocking shows through-out the Bay Area, West-Coast, Europe and Cuba, the group built a strong reputation. Although they haven't released much music as a crew lately, the group has branched out with most of the members releasing projects to this day. Look-out for Bored Stiff to come together in 2007 and take their place among the Hip-Hop's finest…
2. Fast and loud hardcore punk is what Toronto's Bored Stiff does best. Raw and real, the band exemplifies heartfelt intensity. Beginning with a 5 song demo being released at shows mid-August, and two upcoming 7" records due out in spring/summer of 2009, the foursome are set to rule the underground and bring explosive energy and sincere lyrics back in to hardcore. This is as real as it gets. Known for their all-out insane live performances, pushing themselves to the limit, Bored Stiff is angry, frustrated youth lashing out on the world that made them this way. Throw a brick, set a fire, quit your job and get some pizza.
