4. BOM or Bass-O-Matic (at the beginning) is a one-man experimental / noise rock / cold wave project from Hungary, with bass guitar, guitar, synths and drum machine. Kornél Bíró alias BOM got acquainted with music in 1986, first as a guitarist. And then, in 1995 he made a liflelong friendship with the bass.
In the world of experimental music he gave his first concert in 12 April 1997 as a member of the band „Lyuhász Lyácint Bt”, which he is still a member of.
In february, 2013 based on his own concepts about music he found the band „Százaségő” (Hundred-watt Bulb) with some members of the hungarian experimental life. In the band he plays a more important role with his bass in the field of forming, or rather creating the sound of the band, compared to his previous work.
The last decision of him was made in September 2014, when he played at first all alone at the stage with his four-string insturment as Bass-O-Matic, at an event in Debrecen, called „Zajkert” (Noisegarden), which event can be considered as a „traditional event”, since in the last 4 years it took place in Debrecen.
He made his first studio record (that is 100% improvisation) for promotional purposes in October 2014. This audio material came out in 22 October 2014, under title „The First Issue”. In november came out his new publication as a bonus track of his first album in floppy disk, at the Floppy Kick Records. In 2015 were a lot of gigs in Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Austria, Czech… He released on 11th October his first live album, the Live @ HUT, which was recorded in Vienna @ HUT. In 2016 he made his first European tour especially in Germany, but he played also in Romania, Hungary, Austria…
