"but the old me is still me and maybe the real me and i think she's pretty" might be the most devastating and comforting lyric i've ever heard. so hard to reconcile with your old self and recognize how much unnecessary pressure you were putting on yourself and finally being abble to appreciate the person you once were, even though you're happy with who you became along the way. i hope we're all able to love ourselves from years ago eventually
