Nathan Williams also Known as "Beyond the Midwest" is the artist behind the band. After doing some research from the provided instagram and his Youtube channel. He is actually just a midwest emo from Indiana with a damaged 5 string guitar he was given from a friend Ricky Johnson, who was about to throw it away.
It is no surprise that Tom Delonge is his biggest inspiration (mentioned within his tik tok lives). Nathan has followed his foot steps by playing the guitar with no experience and a heart full of passion!
The first single to release was titled "Call Me" on June 8th, 2020. The artist has released at least one song per month but has gone dark after the release of "Nocturnal College" and "My Anxiety" released on October 30th, 2020.
However It looks like the artist has been spending more time trying to practice, and improve his craft. With small previews and teasers of unreleased songs published to his Youtube channel.
Now the artist is releasing "Hopeless" on January 25, 2021. Judging by the preview the artist has really stepped it up.
Beyond the Midwest attended Full Sail University for Digital Arts and Design. Which explains his statement found in his bio on Soundcloud and Spotify: "I just really wanted to share my feelings in a way my art couldn't."
Recently he posted a video breaking down and sharing the backstory of the Cover Art "Call Me" an interesting video explaining his artistic reason for every detail on the cover. Hopefully the artist continues to post more backstory videos for the other published cover arts.
Please let me know If I did well researching this artist. I would love to hear what else you guys find, I love supporting small artists. :)
