Relatively new Oasis fan (got really into the band last year). After going through that discography and having just listened to DGSS, I don't see where the hate for Beady Eye is coming from. They weren't great, but it was a solid effort

not bad by any means but they have little appeal outside of anyone who was already an oasis fan

It is Liam's 48th birthday today... happy cake day :-) ... I wonder if he still thinks of the Beady Eye times?

He probably has fond memories of hanging with the fellas, though there were some harsh lessons learned with the band not taking off the way they may have expected. Still enjoy their records, tho'.

If after a reunion Oasis would sound like the stuff Noel does today I'd prefer BE or Liam solo by far!

Beady Eye was a good band. The issue was that the barometer was impossibly high. I'd rather have these two albums than not have them.

I have bought both their albums and loved it, but I gotta agree with Noel, they lacked one major hit song. It's my humble opinion that Liam's best songwriting was exploited with Oasis (Boy With the Blues, Songbird, I'm Outta Time,) though I do love songs like Soul Love, The Roller, Iz Right, Shine a Light, The Beat Goes On...
