After playing a few local parties in separate acts, Jimi York (lead vocals, guitar) joined Jon Yi (lead guitar), Shawn Adams (banjo, vocals), Sarah Brusko (vocals), Sam Klemz (guitar), Jake Rivera (drums), Travis Fowler (piano) and Kirk Tinnel (bass) to form what would become Battle of York, a folk/Americana group known for its energetic live performances.
