"PLAYING WITH FIRE" (불장난; RR: Buljangnan) is BLACKPINK's 3rd single, released on November 1, 2016 together with "STAY", as part of the group's second single album SQUARE TWO. It was written by Teddy Park and composed by Teddy and R.Tee. Sonically, it is an upbeat tropical house track with a piano melody.
BLACKPINK promoted the song on multiple comeback stages, receiving two music show wins for "Playing with Fire". The song debut at #3 on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and debut at #1 on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, becoming the group's second #1. The track also charted in Japan at #81 and on the Canadian Hot 100 at #92, making BLACKPINK the first South Korean girl group and only the fifth South Korean act (after Psy, EXO, CL, and BTS) to enter the chart.
