Wiki

This track, man - staccato gorgeousness, clip cut chords, moving in and out of consciousness, filter modulating the groove throughout. It's like a radio transmission from a galaxy on the edge of the universe, and there's something so sad and pathos-inducing about this track that I can't put my finger on for some reason.

The segue in and out of this track is perfect, and I love the mini-"breakdown" towards the end when the insistent arpeggio is ceased and the chords extend elastically and the boys' signature cavern tones come in for a brief instant ; its so goddam SATISFYING and well done.

There is so much going on here, that even while the chords remain constant, the sheer attention paid to the sound design makes it interesting throughout its short length ; the groovery is all accomplished through tone, making this track both ambient and a banger at the same time. But still, there's something so sad about the energy of this song, I don't know what it is. Definitely, one of my favourites from the first sesh, along with 'l3 ctrl'.
