Arman Bohn started playing his own music in the Pacific Northwest college town of Bellingham, Washington in a band called Shed. Backed by Nick Harmer (bass) and Ben Gibbard (drums), Shed was the first band in which Bohn began to experiment with traditional pop song structure, alternate tunings, vocal harmonies and recording/production techniques.
