After their album "Arena", Duran Duran decided to take a break. They separated (apparently without certainty of reuniting). Two of the members (the guitarists) formed the band "Power Station" with Robert Palmer, and the rest created a new album under the name "Arcadia". It had a twist of style that would later be re-discovered in the original. When the band ended its separation and returned as Duran Duran only three of the original members remained.
