Biography
Annalie Prime is a Roots-Pop singer, songwriter and music composer. She is known for a distinct fusion of roots genres like Calypso, Reggae, Folk and Soul. Born in Tunapuna, Annalie grew up in Chase Village, Trinidad which she describes as the perfect mix between town and country lifestyle. She credits this environment for being able to be purpose-driven while having grace and humility on her musical journey. In 2020, Annalie released her debut album entitled "I Think Too Much" which revolves around the topic of mental health and self improvement. In an interview with Laura Dowrich for Caribbean Beat Magazine, she described the album as " a bunch of journal entries". In 2021 she released her sophomore album entitled "Nine". In an interview via Loop News TT , she said that the album was created as a response to the "sudden rise in gender based violence". The singer also added that she wanted to, "Celebrate, uplift and inspire the WOMAN".
