This is a dark ,solemn piece which speaks of the dormant menace of a beautiful day of gelid winds, in a wintry, icy, wilderness wonderland. Austere, yet hauntingly, strangely somber and elagent. It speaks not merely of winter as a season, but winter as a state of being, winter as a morbid atmosphere of mind and soul. Even so, not withstanding it's somberness, it's very elegance evokes a hope of spring.
