Alex comes from the middle of nowhere. Despite these nondescript surroundings, he discovered things to write songs about, and bundled them up into a little EP at the start of 2006. Unsurprisingly, they were the stuff of small-town desolation and dead-pan parochial misery, interspered with an occasional bit of mustered sarcasm.
