Biography
Ajantha Leijnse is a Dutch national who at eight, was introduced to the entertainment industry as a dancer. Musicals and regular dance shows comprised her day-to-day life.
Her singing and acting career continued to flourish resulting in eventually being selected for starring roles in the European touring productions of Footloose, Dreamgirls Gala and De Zevensprong.
The absolute highlight of her career was being chosen as one of the featured performers at the wedding celebrations for HRH Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and HRH Princess Maxima in The Netherlands.
Ajantha shares her experiences in the industry writing a column published monthly in STARS (Europe).
She is also featured in the Hill & Knowlton Drijfveer en Motief publication. This is a prestigious list of Dutch nationals who have inspired and attained significant achievements in their respective industries.
In Aug 2006 at the invitation of Bloc Talent Agency, Ajantha relocated to the United States and by Oct 2006 she began working with entertainers like Robert Randolph, Hilary Duff, Amerie and Tracey Ullman. This gave Ajantha the opportunity to perform in varied national and international productions.
She is currently recording her debut album in New York City.
