Endre Ady (Érmindszent - November 22, 1877; Budapest - January 27, 1919) was a Hungarian poet, one of the most important poets not only in the 20th century but in Hungarian literature in general. Ady was born in Érmindszent, Transylvania (part of the Austria-Hungary at the time, now a village in Romania called Adyfalva in Hungarian and Ady Endre in Romanian, located in Nagyvárad, Bihor County).
