"Since my earliest memories, I’ve always been an… eccentric individual. Most kids start off having normal role models, not me. I used to watch almost nothing but Godzilla movies. Godzilla was my hero. When I went to preschool, I used to pretend like I was Godzilla. Yup, I loved Godzilla, and videos of car crashes. In hindsight, I’m not really sure if that had any positive or negative impact on me… but it’s an interesting fact either way.
When I was in Kindergarten, I was the first kid to be sent to “The Thinking Chair” for bad behavior. This was the first, but certainly not the last time I would be reprimanded for my behavior. By third grade I had been put on a “behavior sheet.” I spend most of my fourth grade year in the principal’s office. The principal was very busy I guess, because it seemed like I spent most of the year sitting in a chair outside of his office, staring at nothing. Of course, this gave me plenty of time to perfect one of my favorite pastimes, using my imagination. I can sit around for hours on end, doing nothing, just pretending like I’m having some sort of amazing adventure inside of my mind. I still do this all the time, at age 19.
At a very young age I found my first true love… video games, which I have been playing constantly and obsessively ever since. I don’t know exactly when I started playing video games, but, it was sometime in my early elementary school years… back when the (original) Nintendo was state-of-the-art.
Sixth grade… up until then I had been sort of a loser. I was the weird kid who always played by himself and got in trouble. But by the end of Sixth grade, my wit, humor and devil-may-care attitude had made me “one of the cool kids,” I suppose. I threw cool parties where people played Nintendo 64 and spin the bottle, and everyone seemed to like me. Life was good. I was the man…" -Adam Zivojnovich on early Adam Zivojnovich
