Adam Schlesinger was an Emmy and Grammy award-winning American songwriter who played bass in multiple bands including Fountains of Wayne, Ivy and Tinted Windows. In addition, he also wrote the theme song to the 1996 film "That Thing You Do!" and was one of the owners of the independent record label Scratchie Records.
He was born on October 31, 1967 and grew up in New York and Montclair, NJ. He passed away on April 1, 2020 at the age of 52 due to complications resulting from contracting coronavirus and falling ill with Covid-19.
