AGIR - or Agir - (born Bernardo Correia Ribeiro de Carvalho Costa), is a Portuguese pop and R&B singer, songwriter and producer. He was born on March 18th, 1988. He his the child of Portuguese singer Paulo de Carvalho and Portuguese actress Helena Isabel.
AGIR started recording his own songs at the age of 12. Until the release of his first album, his songs were available on YouTube for free download.
He also worked for a year in the night club Absolut, where he performed as a DJ.
AGIR had a project called TribUrbana (where he sang along with Milene Candeias), with which he participated in Festival RTP da Canção, in 2007. On that contest, he finished in the 4th place, with the song "Dá-me Lua".
In 2008 AGIR guest starred in the album "De Amor", by Paulo de Carvalho, singing "O Meu Mundo", which he co-wrote.
On the 29th of July 2010, AGIR releases his first album called "Agir", which gets sold out in a few stores in just a couple of days.
In 2013, he released the free EP "Alma Gémea - The Soul Sessions Experience", which was followed by the free mixtape "#AGIRISCOMING", released in 2014.
He achieved major success in Portugal in 2015 and 2016 with his second studio album "Leva-me a Sério" and songs like "Tempo É Dinheiro", "Parte-me o Pescoço" (his biggest hit so far), "Como Ela É Bela" and "Makeup".
In 2018, he released his third studio album, "No Fame", which was a commercial flop compared to "Leva-me a Sério".
