Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan (1978 – present)
Collaboration between Japanese singer-songwriter 椎名林檎 (Shiina Ringo) and conductor / violinist 斎藤ネコ (Neko Saitō). They released "平成風俗" (Heisei Fūzoku) in February 2007. This album serves as the soundtrack for the movie "Sakuran". Shiina Ringo initially intended to create a highly produced sound, using a computer. She made some instrumental demos, but the film director demanded songs with lyrics. So she decided to record some live songs using Neko’s orchestration which he wrote for Sheena’s concert before.
