Catherina Early Music Consort(カテリーナ古楽合奏団) is one of the japanese groups which play early music. It was founded in 1973(organized by Garyu Matsumoto(松本雅隆)), and since then, has performed and recorded mainly renaissance secular instrumental pieces(including those of Susato, Arbeau, Gervaise, Praetorius, Schein, etc.). These pieces are played freely arranged and in reverie style.
