Andrey Mironov (Андрей Миронов) was a popular Soviet Russian actor. Born March 8, 1941 in a family of popular actors, Maria Mironova and Alexander Menaker he graduated Schepkin Drama School with honors in 1962.
Andrey Mironov was one of the most popular and talented Russian actors of 1970-80, renown for his roles in theater and cinema. Being a good singer he played in numerous popular comedies and musicals of the time. Many songs from the movies that he performed instantly became hits.
On August 14, 1987 while being on tour with Moscow Satire Theater in Riga the actor fell unconscious on stage in the middle of performance. He died 2 days later, on August 16, 1987 in hospital without regaining consciousness.
