Tephra is a band from Braunschweig, Germany which exists since the end of 2003. Before they formed Tephra all the members played in various local bands who musically were quite diversified. By this they bring many different influences into the band. Tephra play a mix of hardcore, sludge and doom. Their first release (as a four piece band) was a self-produced demo demo cd with 4 songs on it.
