Four Japanese students in Chicago formed the band in 2004, called themselves Olam. They used to be playing as free formed noise band. Former member Kiyomitsu Odai(key.) left the band in mid 2005. Odai leaving the band became the turning point of the band's music style. Other members started playing as post rock band. The music engineer/producer Bob Popp called them to his private studio, and finished recording in 3days.
