Shit pizdec, kak i ves' japanese rock/pop. Especially veselyat vse eti uzkoglazye shmary with one face for all. Idoly, blyat. Better podrochit na narisovannyh characters, that na etih 3d-whores with tons of shtukaturki.
I love them but how would one describe the actual genre of metal that's behind the idol vocals? On their newer stuff it feels really djenty and I think they've been using 7/8 strings and much more progressive sounding riffs, and their earlier works are more like metalcore/deathcore/death metal.
J-POP's western influences stem from the Beatles, hard rock groups like Deep Purple and Van Halen, early power metal like Helloween and all that influenced X Japan whose impact on the japanese music scene today is always larger than I can measure!
I never cared for the vague reporting of absence used by the Japanese media, hell in western media it would be a little too descriptive. You combine this with the some of the less..pleasant aspects of idol culture and you have a suspicious departure around her 18th birthday. I don't feel as though that is the case, and I'll believe the rumors of injury and the official statement on injury but the industry is seedy enough that i almost feel great for her leaving, she's had almost half of her life in the biz. With the unfortunate death of Fujioka and their guitar mastery missing from the last two singles, I hope they have a bright future as a group. BM gave a new edgier style of idol-pop that has created many great proteges, and had a bizarre image that along with controversy and online debates brought a bit of fun into a stagnated metal scene in the west (among bands that produce singles).
She supposedly has an injury which might take years to fully recover from (as a dancer), so logistically she just had to say farewell but I have a tiny speck of hope that she might come back someday. From how it sounded like, everyone was hoping she could come back for this new... "season".
Either way, I'm sad but hope she won't completely vanish due to lack of gigs, like some SG members (or Moa following anytime soon).
They got surprisingly big playing a fundamentally uncool and outdated type of music, but I shudder to think about how they could’ve ruled the world if they emerged in the late 00’s at the height of scene kid culture
