Unearthing the next big sounds is in our blood. So it's hats off to the people at New Crush in London for sharing that belief and having us onboard again as they continue to showcase the acts of tomorrow on the live stage.
The series began last year, mostly in east London, and feature, amongst others, the ambient-pop of The Half Earth, the stylish R&B/electronica of CROOX and the noise-rock brashness of Idles - all of which are building on the foundation New Crush gave them in 2016.
We join New Crush in 2016 with a show at The Victoria in Dalston on April 12th.
The lineup is headed up by Mono Club - a sound that's sure to be loved by people who appreciate the blissful wave of The War On Drugs:
Support comes from Jalen N'Gonda, who chose the musically-rich city of Liverpool to ply his trade in as opposed to his hometown of Maryland in USA. His is a thoroughly traditional sound that harks back to a soul sound from a simpler time:
Joining them will be youngster ROCH - a 20 year old singer/songwriter from London. Fans of the moody Daughter will certainly find much to love here - the heartfelt maturity in her music triumphantly defies her young age.
