説明
Now Wave & Fat Out Til You Pass Out present an exclusive and intimate evening with guitar virtuoso and composer Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, within the awesome setting of Manchester’s Deaf Institute.
A literal fountain of creativity, Rodriguez-Lopez has begun to amass a body of work that will soon rival that of his musical forefather Frank Zappa, releasing over 25 studio albums since 2007 and producing more than 40 in that same time frame, he has collaborated with artists as diverse as Lydia Lunch, Damo Suzuki, Zach Hill and John Frusciante in an outpouring that has touched upon electronic noise experiments to full on free-form, out-rock and literally everything you could possibly think of in-between.
Astonishingly, this collection of work excludes (!) his role as founding member and primary songwriter for contemporary prog titans The Mars Volta and of recently reformed post-hardcore innovators At The Drive-In.
A whirlwind mix of deep psychedelia, heavy prog, komisch kraut grooves, calypso and mind bending exoctica, The Omar Rodriguez Lopez group, featuring Deantoni Parks on drums and Teresa Suarez (aka Teri Gender Bender from Le Butcherettes) on vocals promises to be an exhilarating and dumbfounding experience and a rare opportunity to see this modern day renaissance man up close and personal.
