Not Wildflowers, though, which wasn't on the 14-track Mojo download - and the Live Anthology version is from 1995. Glad you were able to listen, anyway!

I think it's just a UK station. I've listened to it twice and it's really good - the sound quality is excellent. Problem is the annoying announcers, who talk over the music. So I probably wouldn't have downloaded it even if I'd been able to (it was blocked). I haven't been on the Forum for ages - most of what people say is, let's say, not that fascinating. If I were there, I'd be called Joc. [Update: just posted about the radio programme.]

Did you see this? http://t.co/xlFtKPkn I need to see if there is a way to hear it in the states. Are you active on the HCC forum? What's your handle there? I haven't got my T shirt yet, I just renewed earlier in the week, was hoping for the extension but ended up paying for it.

Ah, then I won't bother to look for it. Yes, I like Restless and Don't Treat Me Like A Stranger - I also love the Johnny Cash album Unchained that he did with TP&TH. I certainly am in the HCC - in fact this year's T shirt just arrived yesterday!

Yes, Take out some Insurance is a live recording, I believe it's the same Gainesville '93 show. http://www.discogs.com/Tom-Petty-The-Heartbreakers-Something-In-The-Air/release/2257150 I really need to put together a list of what I have... I think some of my favorite b-sides\non-album are Restless from the Carl Perkins Go Cat Go album and Don't Treat Me Like A Stranger from the UK b-side of I Won't Back Down. Are you in the Highway Companions Club?

Yes, I realised that too - 8 each! I'm very excited to hear here's an official version of Take Out Some Insurance, as that's one of my favourites. Is it a live recording? I only have one example of it and that's from the Gainesville '93 concert, a bootleg that's widely available. (At least, I say that but the closing of the Megaupload site has been a real blow to us bootleg fans.) Probably my favourite bootleg is Utrecht 1982 which is a real humdinger.

Then we'll be even at 8 :D. I really don't have any bootlegs, any you recommend? I have the Mudcrutch b-sides... I actually have the Depot Street 45, I'm trying to find the Up in Mississippi Tonight 45 but not having much luck. I think I have ~99% of the songs that been released commercially. Just when I think I have it all I find something else, recently I found the Germany version of the Something in the Air single with Take out some Insurance as the b-side.

Ah, well, I've never seen him before, you see. The only rare stuff I've got is from bootleg sites which I'm sure you've found too - I was pleased to be able to get on the Girl On LSD site for the Mudcrutch B-sides though.

I'm jealous, I'll be at both Denver Colorado shows and Alfreda Georgia show... I've already seen him 5 other times but I bet you got me beat there too. I've been tracking down rare b-sides and see you have some over lap with my collection. Have anything out of the ordinarily?

Ooooh, tfd, never got to the gig (much gnashing of teeth) as my little girl was ill, and I couldn't have left her with a babysitter had I managed to activate one, deep, deep sigh. I haven't found anyone else yet who went, but I'm hoping it was really well attended so's they come again - then maybe I'll be in with a chance! On a happier note, one of my best friends over here will be coming up to Hamburg the weekend before Christmas (she lives just about as far away as you can get without crossing a border), so we'll be having a session in our old *local* - and yes, there's definite babysitter availability that evening! She's got a wonderfully clear voice very much like Kate Rusby; I know all the words but can seldom hit the right key...

Oh, I did that too once but found myself again - poor old webcore, though, can't seem to find himself at all. Debbym went to Rachel Unthank in Germany but she never said if it was good. Bet it was though,

Ooooh, got my tickets for Rachel Unthank today (Cardiff, week Monday). Coincidence after coincidence all week, very strange. Not surprised you got it, TFD, even with my other name on here - I'm sure I once registered on the Grauniad as per here but forgot the password, and already had my Guardian name for the 'Pick a Score' prediction league.

Hey tfd, I've just "discovered" Rachel Unthank & the Winterset on here, having seen that they're playing a gig here next week. I really, really like their music, have you ever listened to them? Now off to find a babysitter, cos I intend to get to that gig!

Slowly finding my way round. It's the blindfold I think, I should take it off. Thanks for the call on the C&B Band - feel free to check out my library....

Hi tfd, I've only just ventured down to the bottom of the page and discovered the shout function (thanks for yours, made me feel welcome!) According the machine our compatability is LOW; can't believe that, can you?!
