Born in 1984, Vanny grows up in the middle of nowhere, down in Sicily, and discovers rock'n'roll at the age of 13. Fallen in love with the early punk rock, he founds his first band, FestaMalva, in 2001, inspired by Stooges, Crime and New York Dolls. The band breaks up after six years of chaos, leaving just a bunch of unrecorded songs and the memory of its troubles. From 2007, Vanny records his solo stuff at home, all by himself, mostly inspired by the attitude of Daniel Johnston's early records.
