@Toutatis_ - I kinda agree. Been listening to these guys for ages, Hesperia, in it's own right is a good album .. but not as good as their previous stuff. I talked to their drummer, David awhile back and he said Hesperia was going to be the successor to Mare Nostrum.. Can't really resemble the two
Listen to the riff at 3:17 in "Where My Spirit Forever Shall Be" and then listen to "Half Moons, Half Centuries" by Catamenia. Not sure if many people have noticed that or not, but it's always stuck out to me. Also, Supreme Art of War is an awesome album.
@metalmasterman: I guess their music are too niched and only appeal to some... then again, publicity, timing... there are many factors for that. But shouldn't keep us from listening to them, right? :) (even if we all know they do deserve better :/ )
This band is seriously tough for me to classify. They have black metal influence but they also have those really fast low tuned riffs like Scar Symmetry. The clean vocals remind me so much for Peter Steele it isn't even funny. Why aren't they bigger?
Just received my "special edition package": cardboard-bundled version of "At The Gates Of Utopia" and "The Gorgon Cult". Really good value for the money plus I got my two favorite albums by Stormlord! Get that package if you have not already!! ^_^
@ClassyMusicSnob, its At The Gates of Utopia its the album I started to listen it about 4-5 years ago and it was just stunning, but anyway they announced a new album! they say its going to be most best songs in there theyre ever made, and its title is Hesperia
