Nel 2003, i fratelli Charles Greywolf e Matthew Greywolf, che avevano suonato assieme per anni, decidono di creare una band, i Powerwolf. Presto i fratelli aggiunsero il batterista Francese Stéfane Funèbre e il tastierista Tedesco Falk Maria Schlegel, ma fu impossibile trovare un cantante adatto per completare i Powerwolf.
