This was another touch year for full-length CD's. There was so much good music pumpin' around, I thought it would be easy to pull my Top 10 CD's of 2006. But the truth is, there's been a ton of good "songs". But finding good CD's was a lot harder. After some soul searching and a reality check, here's my list...
10 Darien Brockington
- "Somebody To Love"
This is a solid effort from D-Brock. Not as hot as "The Feeling", but alot better than the rest of the stuff being put out. This is a must have for Soul Collection.
09 Christina Aguilera
- "Back To Basics"
I didn't know how'd Christina and Primo would mesh, but Primo delivers some nice pop-infused dirty beats which Ms. Aguilera rides very nicely.
08 J Dilla
- "The Shining/Jay Loves Japan/Donuts"
With the passing of Dilla this year, most of us didn't realize what we had until it was gone. With a huge release of CD's nd Bootlegs (thank you Bit Torrent!), Dilla's greatness is finally being recognized. R.I.P, big dawg...
