After the huge sell-out success of the Tru Thoughts showcase in 2011, Soundcrash celebrates once again this iconic independent UK label with a monster club night featuring the biggest names from the past, present and future of the celebrated imprint. With a quality selection of crossover live bands and DJs, expect the best in soul, funk, electronic and tropical rhythms with a healthy dose of hip hop thrown in. Expect eclectic, electric and utterly compelling music from our favourite Brighton label.
The backbone of the label for many years is here with QUANTIC coming across from Colombia for one of his famous globe-spanning DJ sets; BELLERUCHE performing tunes from their hugely successful four albums of unique indie-soul for the label; and one of the UK’s most exciting underground producers, HINT, on the decks with a characteristic bass heavy party set.
Add to this the more recent signings and up-and-coming acts: LONDON POSSE legend (and one third of Sleepin’ Giantz) RODNEY P takes to the mic; Japanese live genius ANCHORSONG brings his multifaceted electronica; mesmerising, beat-laden sonic landscapes from HIDDEN ORCHESTRA; the dub infused dancehall storytelling of WRONGTOM and his wingman DEEMAS J; and of course the man who has brought the label collaborations and remixes from the likes of SKREAM, TODDLA T, MR SCRUFF, ATJAZZ, TAIWAH, SIMBAD and MJ COLE, ZED BIAS (and his other Tru Thoughts alter-ego MADDSLINKY).
