2009-2012: First Album & Novel “The Cosmocinesy” Founded by guitarist/composer Tony Beaufils, Qantice is not only a symphonic power metal band with movie tracks influences but also an imaginary universe where the epics of a Science Fantasy saga spread over a novel. With the release of its first album The Cosmocinesy (Brennus Records) in 2009, produced by keyboardist and producer Kevin Codfert (Adagio, Myrath), Qantice received a warm welcome from the Prog & Metal press and fans, but also extended its reach beyond metal. In 2010, Tony Beaufils, Aurélien Joucla (drums), Yosh Otias (violin), Vince (Vocals), and live bassist Fred Charpentier, hit the stages in their home country, France. Meanwhile, Tony and author Marie Fontaine put the finishing touches on the book La Cosmocinésie, a 576 pages novelization of the first concept album, released through Editions Argemmios in 2012.
Review highlights:
“Epiiiiiic!” Bruce Dickinson - Friday Rock Show, BBC6 sept 25th 2009 “Here’s 2009’s revelation!” Heavy Law -FR- (9/10) ”…different than anything I’ve heard before… best power metal band out of France since Heavenly…” Metal Reviews -USA - (91/100 - album of the month)

Novel awarded book of the month by French literary TV show “Rêves et Cris” (NolifeTV channel).
2013-2014: Second Album
For their awaited new release recorded in 2013, the French metallers recruited Norwegian vocal sensation PelleK (seven million views on YouTube, last solo album charting No2 on iTunes Norway, also singer in Damnation Angels) to go into hyperdrive and aim for the stars! This follow-up to the The Cosmocinesy also gathers big names: produced again by Kevin Codfert, The Phantonauts was mastered by Jens Bogren (D. Townsend, Symphony X) and features guest appearances from Zaher Zorgati (Myrath) and Yossi Sassi (Orphaned Land). The result is 11 tracks of other-worldly epicness in which fantasy atmospheres meet jaw-dropping virtuosity and where a whole new meaning is given to the genre "Movie Metal".
