Pyr has been a music lover since his childhood, growing up with legends such as Otis Redding, Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet… He started to study solfege in 1992 at Clamecy Music School (Nievre, France). He played trumpet while he was a hard-rock music fan, but focused on other musical horizons (Hip-Hop, Techno…) during his teenage years due to his entourage .
