PC&L has already become one of my favorites of all time in the past week. For me, it's the perfect mix of electronic and post-punk with a smidgen of Joy Division depression, but not so much so that I want to kill myself.
All 157 New Order songs ranked by voters: (20) Crystal (19) Elegia (18) Fine Time (17) Confusion (16) Round & Round (15) Sub-culture (14) 1963 (13) Shellshock (12) Everything's Gone Green (11) Your Silent Face (10).............
This is still on last.fm and not Spotify's fault. It can't be that hard to create an automated system that handles remastered songs in some way instead of creating unique songs out of them and upsetting the userbase. I would really like to get some insight on why the last.fm staff is so anti-developmental.. I understand implementing features or making changes on a pretty large platform like this might not be done over night but I really struggle to understand what they are doing at their jobs except for handling servers or something because like what the fuck nothing is happening
Oh yeah, I absolutely did not mean to suggest that this a mistake on Spotify's part, it's entirely last.fm's problem and last.fm's personnel are the ones that should fix it. Something along the lines of personal tag correction is a function that the community has been craving for for a good while, as far as I'm concerned. I hope the dev team will start working on it in the near future.
If you scrobble The Cure's 'Disintegration (Remastered' on Spotify, the 'Remastered' bits in the song title disappear (apart from on the very last song... for some reason). So this can be done, somehow.
I understand, in the end it's how you prefer to scrobble. So if you are against piracy or YT scrobbling, Spotify seems legit alternative. My statement was just little joke, coming from person who will rather download all his artists' discographies instead of using Spotify, just for having whole range of assets, so you know.. :)
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I used to do that too. When I want to have a discography of my favorite musician in my collection, then I download it from a torrent site. That is what I did with the Group Pink Floyd. Thank heaven I got rid of those stupid remastered tags in my library; they were killing my listening report.
Musical trends of the late 80's pretty much forced every synth pop act to dry out and dull their production style, but New Order's beats still popped the fuck off from '86 to '89 and I really respect them for that
You're right, in that album this is apparently fixed (which is nice, I didn't know). But in some other albums we still have the "2015...": http://i.imgur.com/tzf7NrK.png
But thanks, now I can at least listen to some songs without getting crazy with the wrong tags.
