Marvins Revolt is an indie/math/pop/experimental band from Copenhagen, Denmark. They started out in 2002 as a quartet. They released their first EP in 2004 and an album 'Fell in Love with Tanks & Satellites' in 2006 in their 'early' noisy and aggressive period.
In the fall of 2007, their second album 'Killec' was released by Irish diy-label Popular Records to great response from media and audience. This album symbolises the work of a new-born collective, now a 3-piece, with no musical boundaries. The present line-up of the band is: Martin Niemann, Klaus Peter Nielsen and Søren Holst Frøkiær Thuesen. 'Killec' songs appear as intense, challenging and melodic structures, with disregard for songwriting rules.
The release of 'Killec' was followed by 2 tours in the UK and Ireland as well as a tour of mainland Europe together with label mates Adebisi Shank, all of them to great response from audiences captured by the band's intense and energetic live performance.
'Killec' was re-released by the Richter Collective to a larger scale of European distribution in the fall of 2008. On dec 3rd 2008 'Killec' was released in Japan by Parabolica Records and the band toured Japan in Feb 2009.
The new album 'Patrolling The Heights' was released on labels across the world on Nov 2nd 2009. To support the release of the album the band has started a 6 weeks tour of Europe.
