WOW I've always wanted a piano FFXII and have been waiting for the offical release of the piano collections (thats if there will ever be one... :|) but I can now listen to them :D thanks for the un-official work guys :DDD
The music is composed by Sakimoto, arranged for the piano by Asako Niwa. I slightly arranged them too, and, of course, play :)
This album is not an official release (that's why it's free), but the sheet music is official, though.
Of course I made this album. If you don't believe me, believe your eyes, I record some pieces for YouTube.
The Theme of the Empire isn't arranged in the official book, like others beautiful tracks (Golmore Jungle, White Room, etc ...).
Thanks. It took me six months of work to record the album.
I don't know.
No, it's not bad due to its predecessors. It's bad because it's..bad. And hopefully, if they mean to continue the series this way, the last nail in the coffin for a once-great series will be just this. It's all gone downhill since the release of the undying FFX. And free mp3's. Woohoo. I NEED money to bear listening to this shit. I listened to music from the computer the entire game anyways.
To clarify the situation :
- These tracks are all from the official book of OST Piano Solo, arranged by Asako Niwa (and a little by me : there are many mistakes in this book ^^)
- All tracks are played by me. Yes.
- It's free and legal, it's not an official release, just a fan vision of the OST.
- I takes me almost six months to arrange and record all these 50 tracks.
one more point i must make.. the soundtrack is NOT worse than the previous OSTs.. its just in another style. i believe alot of us are just being biased towards uematsu's music.. please keep an open mind and learn to appreciate new stuff
its an awesome soundtrack.. tho i realize its not as easily appreciable as uematsu's works for the previous games. but this is definitely good music.. those of you who can't enjoy this.. i urge you to listen to the ost more closely.. and find beauty in it
most arrangements are fine here.. disappointing one is salikawood... tho a nicer arrangement would make it into a very difficult piece..
