Danko Jones, Apocalyptica en Opeth staan in het weekend van 12 juli op het Bospop festival in Weert. Kaarten zijn hier verkrijgbaar.

FIELDS OF ROCK 2008 GAAT HELAAS NIET DOOR

Wegens het ontbreken van headliners en hierdoor tegenvallende kaartverkoop, gaat Fields of Rock 2008 helaas niet door. Deze moeilijke beslissing is uiteindelijk genomen omdat het zowel financieel als creatief niet verantwoord is om door te gaan met deze editie van het Fields of Rock festival. Wij bieden hiervoor onze oprechte excuses aan, met name aan degenen die al een kaartje hadden gekocht voor deze editie. Reeds gekochte kaarten voor Fields of Rock 2008 kunnen tot 1 juli aanstaande geretourneerd worden.

Op Fields of Rock 2008 zouden ongeveer 35 bands optreden. Ook werd er dit jaar extra geïnvesteerd in de sfeer, aankleding en randprogrammering. Hiermee sloeg Fields of Rock een nieuwe weg in. Helaas bleven echter de belangrijke headliners, die de grote aantallen bezoekers trekken, uit omdat ze niet beschikbaar waren in het weekend van 20, 21 en 22 juni. Uiteraard waren wij al sinds het najaar van 2007 bezig om met een mooie en volledige programmering te komen, maar telkens bleek dat Fields of Rock (toch) niet in het tourschema van de grote bands paste. De beslissing om het festival niet door te laten gaan was dan ook eerder noodzaak dan keuze. Voor een aantal bands wordt momenteel gezocht naar alternatieve optredens. Hierover volgt later meer nieuws, ook via deze website.

Reeds gekochte kaarten voor Fields of Rock 2008 kunnen tot 1 juli 2008 worden teruggebracht naar het voorverkoopadres waar ze gekocht zijn. Bezoekers met een TicketFast ticket worden door TSN geïnformeerd via de mail. Degenen die al een kaartje hadden komen tevens in aanmerking voor een korting van € 5 voor de volgende editie van Fields of Rock. Hiervoor moeten zij vóór 1 juni 2008 een mail sturen naar tickets@fieldsofrock.nl, met hierin duidelijk hun naam en het unieke kaartnummer wat op de voorzijde van het ticket staat. Voorafgaand aan de voorverkoop van de volgende editie van Fields of Rock, worden zij vervolgens persoonlijk benaderd en kunnen zij aangeven daadwerkelijk in aanmerking te willen komen voor deze korting.

FIELDS OF ROCK 2008 CANCELLED

Because of the lack of headliners leading to disappointing ticket sales, we are very sorry to inform you that Fields of Rock 2008 is cancelled. This very difficult decision was made eventually, because it wouldn’t have been wise to continue with this edition of the Fields of Rock festival both financially and creatively. We offer our sincere apologies to Fields of Rock visitors who had already bought their tickets for this edition. Tickets for Fields of Rock 2008 can be returned until 1 July next.

About 35 bands were programmed to perform at Fields of Rock 2008. This year, the organisation also made an extra investment to enhance the festival’s atmosphere and fringe programme. This meant Fields of Rock was heading for a new direction. Unfortunately, the major headliners, the artists who attract large numbers of visitors, weren’t available for the weekend of 20, 21, and 22 of June. Although the organisation had been working on a great programme since the fall of 2007, it appears Fields of Rock doesn’t fit the touring schedules of the big bands. Therefore, the decision to cancel the festival was made out of necessity rather than by choice. At this moment, alternative gigs are looked into for a number of bands. News about these developments will follow.

People who bought tickets for Fields of Rock 2008 can return them to the pre-sale box offices they were bought at, until 1 July 2008. Visitors with a TicketFast ticket will be informed by TSN through email. All people who had already bought tickets will qualify for a € 5 discount for the next edition of Fields of Rock. In order to apply for this discount, they need to send a mail to tickets@fieldsofrock.nl, before 1 June 2008, stating their names and the unique ticket number that is printed on the front of the ticket. Prior to the pre-sale of the next edition of Fields of Rock, they will receive a personal invitation to buy a ticket with the said discount.
