So here we have it… a few teasers here and there, the Wiltshire Times going early on our press release (the classic local-rag sub-headline of “hitting back!”) but we’re finally here, Sheer & Loathing in Trowvegas is alive.
Taking cues from my co-promoted show (with my bro over at Hit Or Miss), All Roads Lead To fRome, an annual, 2 stage, all-dayer. I’ve cut it back to fewer acts to make it more lean and manageable for myself. What we lack in quantity we make up for in quality and this is an incredible line-up.
Featuring *mostly* new acts to Sheer & the area, we handpicked our favourites who we hadn’t worked with but really really wanted to for some time. I will be going over all 9 acts in detail over the coming weeks with dedicated blogs about each, our relationship with them so you can better understand why the line up is what it is. I am delighted to have mixed the best in our local scene, with some of the best national acts.
This gig does indeed celebrate 15 years of promoting in Wiltshire. A true indie, under our own volition and with no outside funding – this is as about as a hobby as a hobby can be! (expensive to maintain, doing something you love etc) It’s well documented how we got here, so I won’t bore you again, suffice to say it’s amazing to be at this point in time and I’ve really enjoyed this event experience so far, partly down to the fantastic imagery that Evan Cotter at Xtra Mile whipped up for me.
