Description
Described by Elbow’s Guy Garvey as ‘the UK’s answer to Bright Eyes‘ and heralded in some quarters of the British music press as a Mancunian Bruce Springsteen, singer-songwriter Liam Frost has developed, across two critically acclaimed solo albums, into a well-cherished artist whose distinctive voice, songwriting and sincerity really set him apart.
Following his recent Tokolosh collaboration with members of The Earlies and The Whip, Liam returns for these special performances showcasing songs from The Wild Places EP and his as yet untitled third album.
Support comes from Bird to Beast. Armed with infectious songs full of love and wonder, new pysch-folk duo Bird to Beast spin magic from the sounds of yesteryear to create something fresh and unique. Their timeless melodies and soaring harmonies tip a hat to the pop nous of greats like The Beach Boys, Kate Bush and The Beatles as well as contemporary singer-songwriters like Rufus Wainwright and James Mercer. Their self-titled debut album was released on MUK Records last year and scooped MEN Album of the Year 2013.
First Chop Brewing Arm is an industrial brewing unit situated in a railway arch off Trinity Way, a 10-minute walk from Deansgate. The brewery is fully licensed and will be offering a selection of its own ales on the night, as well as other refreshments.
