“Alpha” is the new EP by Toronto-based producer Nautiluss (formerly one-half of Thunderheist and Bassanovva), to be released in a downtown warehouse space.

+ Jacques Greene (Vase/LuckyMe/NightSlugs, MTL)

Over the past two years, Montreal producer Jacques Greene has quietly amassed an impressive catalog, twisting the spirit of R&B into something functional for dancefloors fueled by classic house and forward-thinking bass. With only a few releases under his belt, he has become one of North America's most lauded producers, a feat assisted in no small part by his jaw-dropping, analog-gear-intensive live shows.

He came out the gate with two strong records for Lucky Me, and nothing short of an anthem on the Night Slugs Allstars CD, growing steadily with high performing releases.

+ Nautiluss (Turbo/Hemlock, TO)

The sound of Nautiluss is subtle but organic, intriguing but heavy. It’s also the creative brainchild of Graham Douglas Bertie. Moving away from the brash sounds of his former band Thunderheist (Big Dada), his desire for exploration has led him to take on a wide range of musical influences.

Nautiluss skillfully navigates between genres; breaking down and bleeding through the boundary lines, while drawing from the bygone eras of music’s past and the forward-thinking sounds of the present.

+ Mr. Charlton (Course Of Time, TO)
