Hey! Manchester and Pineapple Folk present Efterklang plus Peter Broderick and Esker
Efterklang (the Danish word for reverberation) are a post-rock group formed in the Danish capital Copenhagen in 2001. The group consists of five core members. When performing live, these five members are also joined by violinist Peter Broderick, trombonist Niklas Antonson, guitarist Frederik Teige and pianist and singer Anna Brønsted.
They have released albums on the British/American record label The Leaf Label, but also have their own record label called Rumraket (the Danish word for space rocket).
We’d describe their music as lush, harmonious and cinematic - like Sigur Ros performing with a choir. Other people compare them to Múm, Colleen, Fridge, Broadcast, the Notwist and the Album Leaf. Decide for yourself here:
