Well, Clinic have been around for a few years, and happen to be on Domino, so they can't be doing it all wrong. They're just as interesting on record as Arcade Fire imo. And I still can't see what the trouble was with tokens. Engaging your brain in some simple maths/how much you want to drink/how much you wanna keep your spot in the crowd... Not hard.

Hmm, I didn't queue for tokens, got given twice as many as I paid for (as did my friend), so got monumentally drunk for bugger all and had a great time. Loved the venue personally, felt like an indoor festival. Both support acts were awful in my opinion. Makes the mind boggle that a band gets a chance supporting a big name and then just say this is XXXX to introduce each song and then stand mot

yesh but at a festival u have all weekend to spend the tokens...here u didnt have all weekend..and they were non-refundable! ive never been to a one night gig b4 where i had to get tokens!

Clinic were disappointing, Arcade Fire were what I expected. Something that's consistently hyped by all and sundry, yet fails to deliver, just as they did at Brixton. I must be missing something. Dull venue, dull crowd, dull lightshow, dull bands, dull gig. Tokens... Have none of you been to a Festival before? I queued for about 5 mins for tokens and didn't queue at all for a beer...

The venue was awful and the sound and acoustics were dire but Arcade Fire were amazing, I couldn't help feeling that they were just so much better at Brixton though, but that might have just been the venue. The event organisation was an absolute joke, I'd never been to a gig at Ally Pally before and it's unlikely I'll ever go again. I was pissed off to have missed Clinic though, were they good

i quite liked the venue...didnt have major porblems gettin in..BUT after i wanted some water but they only had hot chocolate, tea or coffee.....hmm. #BUTT yere. arcde fire RULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEE it was so good. i shivered with amazingmentnently.

They went on about 9pm and played through to 10.30pm. The queues were mad - we only just got in about 8.45pm and then spent 20 minutes queueing for drink tokens. Horrible venue and stupid organisation for gigs.

Anyone know what time Arcade Fire went on last night? I know the doors at 6.30 - just wondering how long the support acts went on for?

Loved the show, but hated the venue. Am not going back to Alexandra Palace for anything ever again.

well is spose all i can say is agree entirely with every1 below....aboslutely incredible-its not the best of venues but tbh it didnt matter...arcade fire made it work...an awesome set list as well!

First time I've been to a gig at Alexandra Palace, I loved it, I was right nea the front and I almost touched Win at the end of Rebellion. Argh, so near yet so far! I just wish I'd bought £30's worth of screenprint posters AFTER, because I was fearing for them all the way through! Was being tossed around like I was cast out to sea in a storm! Amazing gig though, lost my voice completely! :)

There amazing live just fucking SHIT venue actually mayb the worst venue int he whole of the uk!!! seriously could they not have just dnt 5 nights brixton.....I totally agree what the fuck was up with the tokens! wudda been quicker to get served with money:S Im seriously reconsidering the bloc party gig there:S

Just fabulous. I hate the venue but had a big grin on my face all the way through. Fantastic sound, fantastic staging and visuals. Gig of the year for me.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but then why is there the seat numbers on my tickets? So you have to be there early as possible to get in the queue to get near the front? That sucks. I was up at 6:00am this morning trying to get tickets in the rumoured pre-sale that never happened...
