Really digged the venue. Felt really personal with how close everything was, but just spacey enough to have room to breath and move about. I also managed to get a park very close, which is always a bonus.
The hip-hop opener Freeds definitely threw a curveball but I really enjoyed his set. His music was well prepared, he tried to get the crowd hyped and had good flow with his lyrics. Drummer was insane and perfectly in time with everything.
Gatherer really intrigued me. Their music was almost something completely new to me in terms of style and sound. Admittedly, their sound balancing wasn't top notch, the vocals were very hard to hear and understand, even with both vocalists singing in nearly perfect unison. Regardless, some very impressive guitar work, incredible drums and lots of energy on stage. Immediately had to look these guys up after the gig and get a hold of whatever music I could.
